How are your triggers limiting your growth?

“They’ve been fighting so long, they don’t know what the f**k they’re doing!”

Reacting and being triggered is often a painful memory. It might bring up memories of behaviours we aren’t proud of, and if we take the chance it can be a signpost to our personal growth.

You could hear the emotion and tension in Trump’s voice yesterday when on the surface he was talking about Iran and Israel.

However, as we know the things that trigger us and the things we judge others for often mask how we judge and think of ourselves.

I wonder how it would feel for DT to say this sentence replacing “they” with “I”, and then with “We”.

We could all try the same exercise.

Don’t be lost in your shadow, we all have a reactive side, and from it we can harness great gifts.

Choosing to take the brave step to look at our shadow, we can bring in a light of awareness opening the door to greater impact, clarity and congruence for ourselves and our teams.

At Agile Principles, we support leaders looking to work with impact on their journey of growth and reflection. Often the answer to improvement on the outside, starts inside.
